Job Description

Western Forest Products' Alberni Pacific Division is currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Purchaser.  

The Warehouse Purchaser is responsible for the overall running of the warehouse to ensure all supplies are received for mill operations.  Elements of the role are:

  • Generate & complete work orders
  • Liaise and obtain pricing from vendors
  • Generate requisitions & coordinate approvals
  • Maintain and order inventory

As a key contact for inventory, the Warehouse Purchaser provides excellent customer service to the end users of inventory and supplies within operations.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) designation, and/or have a minimum of 5 year's experience in an inventory/purchasing role.

The sucessful candidate must be highly organized and have a keen eye for detail.  Candidates should have excellent time management and communication skills.    

  • Working knowledge and experience with warehousing inventory;
  • Safe Material Handling Certifications;
  • Knowledgeable in parts and logistics;
  • Knowledge of computerized supply management systems (Tab Ware, preferably);
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications;
