Job Description

Western Forest Products is looking for a Supply Control Intern for 3 months to join our Corporate Office in Vancouver, B.C. 


The Intern will be responsible for supporting the supply control, sales and manufacturing streams through a variety of tasks. All of which will support the development of the individual’s time management, analytical and communication skills while giving them insight into the coastal lumber business.


  • Developing processes around internal transfer creation, tracking and visibility;
  • Maintain and track processing schedules and arrival times;
  • Analyzing order file to increase visibility in sales/shipping forecasting;
  • Support continuous improvement of policies, processes and internal controls;
  • Perform weekly KPI reporting
  • Other duties, including project work, as assigned.

  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter and under supervision;
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work to timelines;
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented;
  • High level of integrity and accountability;
  • Ability to think critically;
  • MS Office skills; and,

Education and Professional Designation/Certification:

  • Actively working towards a university degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Wood Products.
