Job Description

Western Forest Products is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our team. This is a permanent full-time position within our corporate office in Vancouver B.C. Canada.


With the overall objective of Defining a Higher Standard in customer service, the Customer Service Representative is a critical member of the Sales and Marketing team. Providing direct support to Sales Managers and Sales Representatives, the Customer Service Representative ensures the highest quality customer service and 100% accuracy in order fulfillment.   Acting as the liaison between the Sales, Logistics, Supply Control and Manufacturing, the Customer Service Representative ensures that customer orders are fulfilled, the required reporting, documentation and records are maintained to the highest standard and all customer issues and queries are resolved in a timely manner.


  • Providing timely customer service support to external customers – answering queries, investigating and resolving issues related to orders and shipping as well as organizing customer visits;
  • Providing support to Sales Managers and Sales Representatives, including order entry, reporting, and analysis;
  • Primary liaison between Shipping Coordinator, Supply Control and Sales to ensure customer orders are fulfilled;
  • Liaising with the Credit department regarding credit issues (late payments, GST/PST issues, credit limit issues) and developing credit reports;
  • Liaising with Export Agents and Customers to provide issue resolution and shipping status and support;
  • Liaising with Supply Control, provides Sales Managers and Sales Representatives with standardized inventory report, in order to achieve maximum shipping volumes;
  • Supporting the administration of Outside Purchases and be the main point of contact for related issues and queries;
  • Coding of invoices in APFlo;
  • Provide reception relief as required; and
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements


Education and Experience

  • Post-secondary degree in business, or related subject.
  • 2 – 4 years of related Customer Service experience.
  • An understanding of lumber shipping is an asset.
  • Proficient use of Lumbertrack and Excel considered an asset.
