Job Description

Western Forest Products is currently seeking Certified Saw Filers/Benchmen to join our operations on Vancouver Island.  

Reporting to the Head Filer, you are required to safely perform quality work within the scope of the trade as it pertains to sawfitting.

This is an hourly USW union position with a certified rate of $40.16 (certified Saw Filer) and $41.66 (Certified Benchman) per hour and a comprehensive benefit package. Details of the collective agreement can be viewed at

Job Requirements

A certified Saw Filer with experience in Heavy Industry preferably, but not limited to, experience in the Forest Industry, you bring to the job an excellent safety record and a strong work ethic. You are a highly motivated team player with excellent skills in relation to time management and prioritizing, accountability and dependability.
